A Place Built on Memories and Made for Yours

We’ve been coming to Smith Mountain Lake since 2002. Back then, it was just day trips with friends, jumping off docks, and soaking in the kind of peaceful quiet only a lake can offer. Over the years, we kept coming back and as our family grew, so did our love for this place.

In 2023, we finally found the right house, tucked on a quiet cove with big lake views, space to spread out, and the potential to be something really special. So we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

We knocked down walls, opened up the living space, remodeled the kitchen and basement, and gave the home new life. Not just for us but for the next families who’d sit around the table, paddle out from the dock, or watch a movie after a full day in the sun.

We named it Beaches Be Salty as a playful nod to all those salty beach houses we’d stayed in over the years. But here, there’s no sand in your shoes, no salt in your hair, just smooth water, cool mornings, and campfire evenings.

Why We Rent It Out

This is more than a house to us. It’s a place for:

• Catching up with cousins

• Teaching kids how to water ski

• Playing ping pong during a summer thunderstorm

• Sitting still long enough to appreciate it all

We rent it because we want others to have the same chance. Whether it’s your first lake trip or your fiftieth, we hope Beaches Be Salty gives you what it’s given us: connection, laughter, and real time together.
